Waiting at the Door

I can’t explain so deep inside
The very fabric of my soul
Only a heart that grieves such loss
Can ever truly understand

It’s like you’re waiting at the door
Until a loved one comes back home
You feel a longing in your heart
When they appear the longing stops

But in a loss that never ends
You’re always standing at that door
You feel the longing in the breeze
So incomplete and never filled

I cannot find the words to say
Just what it’s like to want forever
Never seeing them again
Just always waiting at the door

GRANDA

SO MANY THOUGHTS AND MEMORIES
GRANDAD, THE THINGS I WANT TOO SAY
THE TIMES WE HAD, THE TIMES WE LOST
MISS YA SO MUCH EVERYDAY

TEN YEARS OLD THE AGE I WAS
WHEN HEAVEN MADE THE CALL
MAM TRYED TO HELP ME UNDERSTAND
TOO YOUNG TO COMPREHEND IT ALL

YOU MADE ME LAUGH YOU MADE ME SMILE
YOU MADE MY BIRTHDAY CAKE
I'D STAY AT YOUR ON SATURDAY NITES
WITH A NICE FRY-UP YOU'D MAKE ME WAKE

THEN YOU AND NANA WOULD GET ME READY
A PACKED LUNCH AND OFF WE'D GO
TO SANDYMOUNT OR GOD NO'S WHERE
THOSE DAYS OUT, I LOVED THEM SO

SO THANKING YOU FOR ALL YOU DID
HEAVEN NOW IS YOUR ABODE
SO GLAD TO BE YOUR GRAND-DAUGTHER
AN HONOUR I PROUDLY HOLD

The Eagle.

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm approaches long before it breaks?

The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.

The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.

When the storms of life come upon us -- and all of us -- will experience them -- we can rise above them by setting our minds and our beliefs toward GOD. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow GOD'S power to lift us above them.

GOD allows us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.

Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.

Remember your beloved James was a blessing from HEAVEN.
